Jazz guitarist George Benson hugged the limelight in 1976 when Warner Bros. Records released his “Breezin’ LP. It became one of the best-selling jazz albums of all time.

Unknown to some, Claus Ogerman, one of the best musical composers-arrangers of the period, chose him as one of the studio session men for his “Gate of Dreams” project.

“Gate of Dreams” was originally a ballet score for a large orchestra and jazz group, and it premiered in 1972 with the American Ballet Theater group at the New York State Theater at Lincoln Center.
